NHL Awards Eric Fehr with First Half’s Best Goal

The powers that be over at the NHL’s digital headquarters have spoken. They’ve combed through the troves of goals scored each night, and determined which ten stand above the rest in their dazzling displays of firecracker gusto and goalcall drama.

The list boasts a few predictable performance: Pavel Datsyuk and Evgeni Malkin, most notably.

But it was one Eric Fehr— he of the second stint with the team who drafted him; he of $600,000/yr (more on this later); he of a pair of dubious shoulders— who hoists the midseason trophy for most spectacular goal above his head.
